Ocean Gate, New Jersey - Ocean Gate is a Borough in Ocean County, New Jersey, United States. As of the United States 2000 Census, the borough population was 2,076.  Ocean Gate was incorporated as a borough by an Act of the New Jersey Legislature on February 28, 1918, from portions of Berkeley Township.

Breaking News: Its official the ground breaking/awards ceremony will take place on monday, june 29, 2009 at 11am.  location: site of where the wind turbine willl be erected.  Comm Fox of the NJBPU will be on hand to award the Borough with the NJ Clean Energy Municipality of the year 2008 as well as many other official from the NJBPU, NJDEP, NJEIT< NJLOM, NJCM, elected officals.  all are invited to attend this historic day not only in Ocean Gate but in the state of NJ.  Hopefully the other 565 municipalities will follow Oceanb Gate's lead.  A light lunch will follow.  Any questions email the mayor directly at mayorkennedy@boroughofoceangate-nj.gov .
